The evolution of Circle of Sumo: Online Rumble!

"Circle of Sumo: Online Rumble!" marks a significant leap from its predecessor, "Circle of Sumo," a title we had the pleasure of bringing to the Nintendo Switch, crafted by the talented team at Yonder.

As we conceptualized what would eventually blossom into Hell is Others, we recognized an invaluable opportunity to hone our skills in online multiplayer game development. What better way to embark on this journey than with a game already close to our hearts and successful on the Switch?

This venture required a synergistic partnership with Yonder, leading us to reconstruct "Circle of Sumo" from the ground up. We re-engineered the codebase to integrate seamlessly with Quantum, our chosen networking library, reimagined the game arenas, and meticulously crafted an engaging multiplayer experience.

Strelka took charge of publishing the revamped game on both Steam and Nintendo Switch, achieving a seamless cross-platform multiplayer experience from the outset.
