A Journey Through Time: Golden Lap
Funselektor, the renowned indie development team celebrated for art of rally and Absolute Drift, embarked on the "Golden Lap" project a few years ago, laying down its initial prototypes. Amidst the bustling schedule of DLCs, porting, and other significant undertakings for their flagship titles, the development of "Golden Lap" progressed at a measured pace.
In the summer of 2023, development momentarily paused, allowing the team to channel their focus into other pivotal projects within Funselektor. Yet, the vision for "Golden Lap" remained a cherished endeavor, driving the search for a new team to carry forward its legacy.
Our longstanding acquaintance with Funselektor naturally paved the way for discussions about a collaborative future for "Golden Lap." An alignment of visions led to a consensus on the roadmap, budget, and team composition. Following some initial groundwork, we were primed to assume production responsibilities at the dawn of 2024, blending our expertise with that of Funselektor's dedicated team members.
